Our November Athlete of the Month is Caitlin! We’d like to give a shout out to Caitlin for consistently bringing her hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm into the studio every week.

1. How long have you been practicing/training at Yoga Athletex?

Almost three years now.⁠

2. What benefits have you received since training at Yoga Athletex?

I have so much more energy since starting at YAX! I have gotten stronger from the HIIT classes and improved my flexibility and mental health by taking yoga. I have a lot of aches and pains from college athletics that yoga has really helped improve as well. YAX has also kept me moving and active throughout my pregnancy, and I think that is one of the biggest contributing factors to having a smooth pregnancy so far.

3. What is your sport/activity outside of the studio?

I played college volleyball and still coach in my free time.⁠

4. What is your favorite class at Yoga Athletex and why?

HIIT 45, it’s a love-hate relationship but I love the challenge of it and the circuit training format is similar to the training I did while playing volleyball.⁠

5. Any advice for new people trying out the studio?

Try all of the classes! When I first started I almost exclusively did HIIT because that was what I was comfortable with, but once I finally tried yoga I was so surprised by the benefits, now it’s one of my favorite forms of exercise.
