Our September Athlete of the Month is Nikkie! We’d like to give a shout out to Nikkie for consistently bringing her hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm into the studio every week.

1. How long have you been practicing/training at Yoga Athletex?

I have been at Yoga Athletex since January 2, 2017.⁠

2. What benefits have you received since training at Yoga Athletex?

I have gained stamina and have been able to maintain a comfortable weight. When I was in volleyball, the jump classes helped me to increase my vertical.⁠

3. What is your sport/activity outside of the studio?

The activity that I do outside of the studio is Japanese classical dance.⁠

4. What is your favorite class at Yoga Athletex and why?

My favorite class at Yoga For Athletes. It is my favorite because it is relaxing but at the same time it helps build muscles.⁠

5. Any advice for new people trying out the studio?

Do not let the names of the classes intimidate you! There are always modifications that are available for you to do.⁠
