We’re so excited to be offering this opportunity for fitness professionals to learn about the benefits of yoga and gain the tools to become better coaches and teachers.

This workshop is for you if you are:⁠

  • A personal trainer, coach, or fitness instructor who wants to provide recovery techniques to athletes
  • A yoga instructor who wants to teach athletes
  • Anyone who needs CEU’s through NASM, AFAA, or Yoga Alliance

You’ll learn:

  • The Optimal Performance Training Model and the Long Term Athletic Development Model (and how they relate to yoga and training)
  • The 7 functional movement protocols for screening and assessing your students
  • Flexibility in-depth and the difference between stretching and yoga for stabilization and mobility
  • How to practice and administer performance breathwork techniques
  • 4 different season-appropriate yoga sequences

No matter what your athletic or yoga experience is, after this intensive you’ll have a better understanding of the importance of yoga and how to apply it to the athletes you currently work with.

Bring your own: yoga mat, water, towel, and lunch/snacks

DAY 1

Friday, June 11
4:30pm – 8:00pm

      • 4:30pm – 5:25pm: Check In + Ice Breaker
      • 5:25pm – 5:30pm: Break
      • 5:30pm – 6:30pm: Practice Yoga for Athletes Sequence 1 Pre Season with Kalynn (bring your own yoga mat, water and towel)
      • 6:30pm – 6:45pm: Break
      • 6:45pm – 8:00pm: Course Objectives, Introductions, Discussion on how athletes differ from the general public

DAY 2

Saturday, June 12
8:00am – 4:00pm

      • 8:00am – 9:00am: Practice Yoga Flow Sequence 2 In Season with Patricia (bring your own yoga mat, water and towel)
      • 9:00am – 9:15am: Break
      • 9:15am – 10:45am: Defining LTAD, OPT and Yoga for Athletes benefits and periodization planning
      • 10:45 – 11am: Break
      • 11am – 1:00pm: Sequencing in Sport, Training and Movement Patterns, Injuries, Visualization
      • 1:00pm – 2:00pm: Break (bring your own lunch/snack)
      • 2:00 – 4:00pm: Practice Sequencing Sequence 3 Post Season

DAY 3

Sunday, June 13
11:00am – 2:30pm

      • 9:00am – 10:45am: Performance Breathwork with Kalynn
      • 10:45am – 11:00am: Water Break
      • 11:00am – 12:15pm: Practice Yoga for Athletes Sequence 4 Off Season with Elizabeth (bring your own yoga mat, water and towel)
      • 12:15pm – 12:30pm: Break
      • 12:30pm – 2:00pm: Students Practice Teaching and Cueing
      • 2:00pm – 2:30pm: Closing and Q&A
