YAX Athlete of the Month – March 2016
March 31, 2016
March 31, 2016
Each month, Yoga Athletex selects an athlete that is a role model both on and off the court. This selection represents our Athlete of the Month Award. In order to receive this award, we look for quite a bit of criteria; participation, attendance, attitude, effort, heart, inquiry and much more. This award should not be taken lightly as it requires many qualities and abilities.
What does the award entail? Not only does the winner get recognition organization wide, the winner receives an official YAX T-shirt, one private lesson, and a “pop party”! A “pop party” includes popsicles for the athletes entire team after training.
So, who is the recipient of this month’s award you ask?
The YAX Athlete of the Month Award goes to …… Sydney Perry!
Sydney is a member of 17 RoShamBo Black at Skyline Juniors Houston. Sydney has been on our radar all year, but this month she really stood out. She lights up the gym with her smile. She always gives 100% during every exercise. She can be heard on the court encouraging her teammates and making training an enjoyable experience. Hats of to you girl for being just who you are. You are coachable and loveable and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
In addition to having the pleasure of coaching Sydney, we truly enjoy working with her team as a whole. This selection was difficult because 17RB is full of stars. Way to go 17RB! You earned your pop party this month for sure!!
If you see Sydney, give her a big high five from YAX! She is amazing!
