Role Details

General Duties

  • Energetically greet clients and check them in (first and foremost)
  • Make sure all client profiles are complete, correct, and up to date
  • Answer any client questions correctly, professionally, and with reassurance
  • Provide high-level customer service and hospitality to clients
  • Drive sales through client engagement
  • Keep all areas clean and welcoming
  • Assist studio management in daily studio tasks and projects, which may include
    • Social media posts
    • Updating studio boards with weekly and monthly announcements
    • Taking photos of classes
    • Updating studio TV slides
    • Setting up work out equipment for classes
    • Setting up camera equipment for filming and livestreaming
  • Check front desk email regularly and answer all incoming calls and voicemails
  • Check Brandbot regularly to answer any client questions before or after classes
  • Maintain product knowledge for all studio retail operations and check clients out for product, membership, and retail purchases
  • Assist with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) through follow-up emails, phone calls, and in-person follow-ups
  • Review, follow, and submit the daily studio checklist when arriving to the studio for each shift and reviews all announcements
  • Upload recorded workout and promotional videos to uscreen, youtube and vimeo from Zoom and the in-studio camera and add complete video descriptions
  • Attach the necessary uploaded video links to upcoming YAX circuits
  • Ensure all studio spaces are well-stocked and clean, including:
    • Fold and organize yoga equipment
    • Refill yoga mat cleaner
    • Sweep, mop, and swiffer floors
    • Check all HVAC temps before leaving
    • Re-stock and clean the restrooms
    • Clean toilets, showers, mirrors, sinks, floors
    • Empty trash
  • Properly connect clients to products
  • Active interest in adopting our retail inventory guide
  • Interest in retail merchandising
  • Must have worked in a quota bearing structure
  • Respond immediately to member requests, inquiries, and concerns with a can-do attitude
  • Report to studio manager and owners
  • Work in partnership with studio manager and teachers
  • Welcome public speaking with a genuine, outgoing personality, enjoy social interaction
  • Responsible for processing accurate credit card transactions
  • Expert time management skills
  • Other duties as needed by the rest of the staff.

COVID-19 Specific Duties

  • Ensure all clients fill out the survey and take their own temperatures upon arrival
  • Create new copies of surveys when the current surveys reach 100 responses
  • Make sure the class instructor is properly set up for their zoom livestreams
  • Ensure that all clients signed up for live streams receive a zoom link before class
  • Ensure that all clients are wearing masks when not standing 6+ feet apart
  • Clean the workout squares in the gym and yoga room after classes
  • Make sure all used bolsters and blankets are set aside to be washed after use

  • Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • Must have outstanding customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Have strong computer skills and be able to pick up new computer software quickly
  • Be able to work well both independently and within a strong team setting
  • Must have a friendly and professional phone and email etiquette
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a wide range of personalities
  • Maintain a positive attitude while initiating tasks without direction
  • Maintain the distinct YAX aesthetic, appearance, atmosphere and culture

Education/Experience Preferred (but not required)

  • At least one year working in a gym/yoga studio + customer service experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in sports-related field (Kinesiology, Sport Management, etc.)
  • Background in competitive sports
  • Familiar with Mindbody, Brandbot, and Wordpress

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, reach, climb and stand for long durations of time
  • Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 40lbs

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Assist head trainers as needed
  • Clean equipment, gym, and yoga studio after each session
  • Be familiar with the exercises on a weekly basis
  • Participate in at least 2 classes each week
