Role Details

  • Energetically Greet and Manage Checking in Clients first and foremost
  • Making sure all client profiles are complete, correct and up to date
  • Answer phones & client questions correctly and with reassurance
  • Keep all area(s) clean and welcoming
  • Provide high level customer service and hospitality to clients
  • Report to Studio Coordinator
  • Assist studio management in daily studio tasks and projects
  • Reviews, follows and submits the daily checklist when arriving to the studio for each shift and reviews all announcements
  • Checks front desk email
  • Maintain a positive attitude and take initiative
  • Work as a cohesive team with all YAX staff members to ensure efficiency and camaraderie
  • Maintain product knowledge for all studio retail operations
  • Maintain the distinct YAX aesthetic, appearance, atmosphere and culture
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to initiate tasks and perform duties without direction
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a wide range of personalities
  • Must have outstanding customer service and problem solving skills
  • Must have a friendly and professional phone and email etiquette
  • Must have superior organizational skills
  • Help bring in more clients – through creative ideas
  • Sending out follow up client emails and phone calls
  • Assist in Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Make creative ideas come to life
  • Make Mat Cleaner
  • Make sure trash cans are emptied if full
  • Refill Soap and Toilet Paper
  • Fill refrigerator
  • Fold Blankets
  • Spot Clean
  • Check all HVAC temps before leaving
  • Greet and check clients in to class
  • Retail if applicable
  • Scan and input all new clients
  • Must have personal, reliable transportation
  • Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule – MUST HAVE WEEKEND, HOLIDAY AND SOME EARLY MORNING/MIDDAY/LATE EVENING WEEKDAY AVAILABILITY

Education/Experience Preferred (but not required)

  • At least one year working in a gym/yoga studio + customer service experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in sports related field (Kinesiology, Sport Management, etc.)
  • Background in competitive sports
  • Familiar with Mindbody and Brandbot

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, reach, climb and stand for long durations of time
  • Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 40lbs

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Assist head trainers as needed
  • Clean equipment, gym, and yoga studio after each session
  • Be familiar with the exercises on a weekly basis
  • Participate in at least 2 classes each week
